       The Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4’s engine is utterly unique. The new twelve-cylinder with 6.5 liters’ displacement and 515 kW/700 hp brings together the ultimate in high-revving pleasure with astonishing low-end torque. Thanks to a dry weight of only 1,575 kilograms (3,472 lb), the weight-to-power ratio stands at only 2.25 kilograms per hp (4.96 lb/hp).

2010 MINI E

 

The 2010 MINI  is an exciting product of  MINI that have parent company is BMW, It will presumably be selling the limited-run electric cars at a loss to drum up excitement for its future environmentally friendly sports car models. 500 units will initially be available, all of them to commercial and private buyers on the East and West coasts.

    

The MINI E was powered by a 204 hp electric motor fed by a high-performance rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the battery technology will have a range of more than 240 kilometers, or 150 miles. The MINI E will initially be made available to select private and corporate customers as part of a pilot project in the US states of California, New York and New Jersey. The possibility of offering the MINI E in Europe as well is currently being considered.

 

The Design of MINI E is an exclusive combination of metallic Dark Silver on all panels but the roof, which is clad in Pure Silver. What distinguishes the zero-emissions MINI is a specially designed logo in Interchange Yellow, depicting a stylized power plug in the shape of an “E” set against the silver backdrop. The color of the roof edges, mirror housings, interior style cues and seat seams will match the logo’s yellow tone as well.

The front splitter is designed to function at high speeds by efficiently managing the air under and around the car. It helps to reduce underbody drag and front end lift while more effectively forcing air through the Boss-specific cooling system.

       The Boss 302 interior design with an aural kick thanks to what’s been removed. Eleven pounds of sound-deadening material have been eliminated to let occupants further enjoy the intake, engine and exhaust note. A unique Boss steering wheel covered completely in Alcantara suede complements the standard seats, which are trimmed in cloth with a suede-like center insert to firmly hold occupants in place.

This means the two variants share the 172-horsepower turbocharged engine of the MINI Cooper S and the 118-hp, naturally aspirated four-cylinder powerplant of the MINI Cooper, both driving the front wheels.           It was designed with an engine speed of 5,500 rpm. Maximum torque is 177 lb-ft and is maintained consistently throughout the speed range from 1,600–5,000 rpm. When accelerating, torque is briefly increased even further to 192 lb-ft by the “overboost” function, an increase in boost pressure (from 0.8 to 1.0 bar), which gives the MINI Cooper S Clubman even more powerful “punch.” And overboost acts exclusively on engine torque, not on overall engine output. The MINI Cooper S Clubman responds instantaneously to the driver’s commands, accelerating from 0-60 mph in 7.0 seconds with a top speed of 139 mph.

          The two versions of the Clubman are virtually identical in their design and body structure to the MINI Cooper Hardtop up to the B-pillar, all the classic design icons of the MINI coming through in the model. At the front these include the large, round headlights supplemented by the round parking-light units and hexagonal radiator grill. On the front flanks are the distinctive side direction indicators.
